Day by Day

DAY 1

Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport and met with NBB/ROYAL TOUR AND TRAVEL Transfer team who will be transferred to Boma/Masai Garden at Bomang’ombe 18.3Km from the Airport for Overnight and dinner.

DAY 2

Your walk up early then after breakfast we will take to Rongai Gate passing through the wooden plantation Village and Maize field, Potatoes before reaching the entrance gate, the trekking start after cleanness to the National Park Gate you will walk for 2hrs while you are looking at white coloubus Monkey and pine tree with view over the Kenyan plains.

DAY 3

It’s a day where you reach at second laves for Lunch there after Lunch you pass across the moorland on a smaller path towards Mawenzi small peaks, after 10Km you reach the Kikuletwa Camp.

DAY 4

A short but steep dimb up grassy slopes offers superb views of this wilderness area. The vegetation zone ends shortly before you reach your next camp at Mawenzi tarn spectacularly situated beneath the towering spires of Mawenzi spend afternoon acclimatizing and exploring the area.

DAY 5

You wake up early in the morning and continue ascending on the east side of KIBO crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and KIBO which will taking 4 to 5hours to reach.KIBO Hut and overnight at KIBO Camp for the preparation for the next day.

DAY 6

Wake up early in the morning and taking breakfast and continue with hiking 8hours to reach UHURU and 6hours to descend Horombo 6Km- 21Km. Habitat hone scree and ice-capped summit. This is where the going really gets tough. The first section of the trail consists of rocky path to the Hans Meyer cake ( 5150m), also a good resting spot. The path then the zigzags up to Gillman’s point (5681m) which is located on the creator rim. This section is very steep with a lot of stone scree, requiring a great physical and mental effort.

DAY 7

After breakfast you continue your descent (6 hours) passing the Mandara Hut down to Marangu Gate. And there you now drive back to Bomang’ombe for a long over due is appreciated fro your cookers, porter, guides that’s is thanks to them and bye. Thank you for trekking with NBB Royal Tours And Travel.
